The Lawton Family | Massachusetts Family Photographer

I bring you this beautiful family who I’ve grown to LOVE and adore over the years. I’m just going to let the pictures do the talking here, but all the heart eyes for these four humans.

The H Family | Falmouth Beach Session | Massachusetts Family Photographer

I met this family when they were welcoming their sweet baby boy, Grey home.
He was just weeks old and his two older sisters were completely smitten. I sort of fell in love with these five right away. They were just SO natural and in the moment-- making my job easy as pie.

I was fortunate enough to capture a mama & me session for Krista and her babies back in February and loved everything about it. It was real, raw, natural and so much fun. She shared with me that they'd be moving to Texas in the summer and they wanted to plan one more family session, this time at the beach.

Man, have I been lucky to have captured some really beautiful moments in this family's life. They left Massachusetts with memories of the beach. With some salt in their hair and sand in their toes and they were off to a new adventure in their new home state of Texas. I wish them all the best, and I will forever be grateful that they came back to me two more times after that first session <3

Cheers to clients that leave a special place in your heart <3

The O Family | Massachusetts Lifestyle Photographer

Family sessions are really simple when families disregard the fact that they're being photographed and live IN the moment. I promise if you engage with your family, run, laugh, be silly and have fun, you'll get me at my best. And me at my best is when your gallery is FILLED with images like these <3

Love this family and cannot thank them enough for trusting me and my process... perfectly imperfect is perfect in my book.

Their first child, their first son, everything about this dynamic brought me back to those feelings I felt bringing home my first little boy. Man, there's nothing better. Diana absolutely killed it in the nursery, making this the most adorable and chic jungle themes I've ever seen. Can't get enough of this sweet session. Congratulations Diana and Nick! xo

A Baby Story | Massachusetts Lifestyle Photographer

I was asked to witness this beautiful mama to be tell her husband that they will be expecting their first baby. I had a vision of my head of snuggles and warmth in the comfort of their home with a hand written letter to deliver to dad-to-be. When I tell you that this session came to life before my eyes, I mean every word of it. It was relaxed, real, raw and true and I am so excited to share it with you.

To these amazing parents-to-be, thank you for allowing me to capture this for you. I wish you both nothing but the best <3 xo

3 month old Evelyn | Lifestyle Session

I think I need more three month sessions. Let me explain why. Their sweet smiles, their chub, their connection with their mama and dad, their fat thighs, their giggle, and their adorableness.
Lifestyle sessions with a 3-5 month baby is bliss. <3

This beautiful mama is also a photographer. When a photographer asks you to photograph their family it's really the ultimate compliment. I was so excited to meet her, and naturally the session just flowed so beautifully.
They were totally in the moment, focused on each other, and the result is... well... just beautiful <3

The Madden Family | Massachusetts Lifestyle Family Photographer | Cape Cod, MA

This here is the Madden Family. This beautiful mama you see here is also a photographer, she is talented and wonderful and beautiful inside and out.

When I got the inquiry from her in regards to a family session I was of course, honored, I always am when another photographer trusts me to capture them creatively. And I was so excited because she's got three boys. Being a boy mom, I just connected with her almost instantly. We had some other crazy similarities and to be honest, I felt like we just hit it off from the start.

This family was TRULY wonderful. You could FEEL the love. We really just played the whole time... the boys found everything from crabs to eels, to frogs. They tossed rocks, ran around and did boy things. I was totally in my element capturing it all unfold.

I loved this gallery for so many reasons, but one of the biggest things that stood out to me was their connection and love for each other. Here is just a tiny bit of their childhood captured while their mom and dad take it all in. <3

Thank you Mel, for allowing me the honor to capture your sweet family. xo

Unposed Memories | Massachusetts Family Photographer

Before I photograph your family there a few things I think you should know. Consider this my *DISCLAIMER* :)

1.) I'm going to become your friend. For the hour or two that we are together, look at me as a friend. I'll laugh with you, play with your kids, joke around and run around like crazy capturing every little moment that's unfolding.

2.) I'm going to ask you to please disregard the fact that I am taking your picture. I don't want you to look at me and smile, unless asked, I want you to look at your family. I want you to focus on them. I want you to cuddle them, tickle them, dance with them, throw them around, walk, run, laugh and play. I want REAL. I want to capture YOUR memories. YOUR unique story. YOUR family dynamics. That's what I want.

3.) If you're not comfortable with the above mentioned, I'm most likely not the photographer for you. Anyone can request you to look at the camera and say "cheese"... some can do it a little better than others, yes, but that's not me. That's not my art. That's not my vision. My passion is moments that MOVE the viewer. I mean, emotionally. I look for emotive, genuine and true moments that are uniquely yours. If I can have that from you, I can promise you that your session will be like this one right here....

And with that, I give you this beautiful family. Who did exactly what I mentioned above. They let me be friends, they gave me artistic freedom. They let me "do my thing". And I find when I do what I love most, I love my work the most. I hope you see that, too <3

How do you blog a mini? Well I'm about to. This family was the essence of happy.

I've been striving for so long to just "capture moments" in family sessions. Not ask too much, and just let things unfold naturally. So many photographers that I admire emphasize the moments, and that's where I'd like to be. I'll keep climbing until I get there... Lord knows I've got a lot to learn. But this family right here was just effortless. They laughed, played, and cuddled and were totally IN the moment.

I wanted to blog this session to show you what being "in the moment" looks like. And how it makes the job so much easier for the photographer. All of my families I've worked with have been AMAZING. And I am thankful for each and every single one of them.

This family really nailed it. Thank you for making it fun and easy<3

Family Beach Session | Falmouth, MA | Cape Cod Photographer

Over the weekend I had the pleasure to photograph this amazing family on their family beach! This family of four had me laughing and swooning over how well this brother and sister got along. They were so sweet and so fun to hang out with. AND THEIR DOG. Ah, I totally fell in love. I hope that this beautiful mama decks her walls with these images... everything looks even better in print<3

I hope you enjoy these as much as I do!

Project 52 | 2015 WEEK 2 Central Mass Lifestyle Photographer

Two weeks have passed in 2015 and I'm blogging my favorite images from the week :)
This week was a little quiet. I'm having a hard time being limited to mostly indoors. I'm trying to find my creative mojo but it hasn't quite come to me at home yet... I still have about 3 more months to figure out indoor shooting. Here are my favorites!

Project 52 | 2015 WEEK 1 Central Mass Lifestyle Photographer

The first week of 2015 has come to a close and I have decided to start a Project 52 this year which will encompass my favorite images from each week! Sometimes I will have a handful of images, other weeks I may only have one! I committed to a Project 365 last year and I'm still working on finishing it up. I realized that taking a picture a day is in fact achievable, but editing, posting and sharing it may not always be. A project 52 seems much more attainable, and I will be able to choose my absolute favorites, which makes it a bit more exciting for me!

Here are my first images of the new year. They are mostly of my youngest son, Dean. He is starting out the year at 14 months old. He's happy, sweet, cuddly and so much fun. He started out his first year of life facing a few obstacles. Dean was born with a Cleft Lip and Palate and had to undergo three surgeries at 2 months, 5 months and 8 months of age. It was so difficult to see him go through them, but he came out of each one a fighter and we wouldn't have changed a THING. He was blessed with the best surgeon in the game, Dr. John Mulliken at Boston Children's Hospital. This man is truly gifted and put on this earth to help children like my son. We are forever thankful for him. Anyway, Dean is starting this year with NO surgeries ahead of him. He will spend this year being a sweet one year old with nothing but trouble and fun to get into. He is a blessing and I love him so.
